Bantams, Peewees, U14, U12, & U10 Pre-Tryout Clinics - $105

 

Tryouts for the 2008-09 hockey season are just around the corner. Sharpen your skills by registering for MYHA’s Pre-Tryout Clinics!  MHS Girl’s Varsity Staff, Impact Hockey Training’s lead instructors and MYHA coaches will be leading the clinics.

 

Peewee Checking Clinic - $25

 

This year we are offering Checking Clinics for Peewees before the season starts.  Don’t leave this part of the game to chance.  Like any other skill, it takes proper instruction and practice.  Space is limited to 30 players.

 

Bantam & Peewee Shooting Clinic -$45

 

Being a good shooter is one of the best ways to set you apart from other players. The shooting clinic will focus on teaching the proper technique needed to become proficient at a variety of shoots. If you like to shoot pucks this clinic is for you!  Space is limited to 25 players. 

 

Bantam & Peewee Open Hockey - $45 per skater FREE for Goalies

 

MYHA open hockey is a great way to prepare for the tryout scrimmages. These sessions will help both skaters and goalies to fine-tune their games.  Space is limited to 35 skaters.

******Goalies still must register but play for free.

 

Goalie Clinics - $105

 

The Goalie Clinics will cover all aspects of goaltending with emphasis on the following: basic stance, net work, save selection, staying square to the puck/horseshoe, puckhandling and helping out the defensemen and rebound control. MYHA goaltending coaches will be running these clinics. Goalies are also expected to attend their general clinics free of charge.  There are 4 levels of goalie clinics:

 

-         Bantam Goalie Clinics

-         Peewee Goalie Clinics

-         Girls Goalie Clinics (U14, U12 & U10)

-         Squirt, Mite 4 and U8 Goalie Clinics

 

**Attention Girls U8, U10, Squirt and 4^th Year Mite goalies: If you attend 5 out of 6 goalie sessions, you will be refunded the full amount of the clinic! If you want to try the goalie position, here’s your chance to do it. If you need goalie equipment, contact MYHA’s Equipment Manager, Doug Howe, at equipment@tonkahockey.org   

 

Squirts

Squirt Clinics are being incorporated into the Squirt Development Program. Click on the Squirt Development link for more information. Squirt Goalies should attend the goalie clinics. 

 

Registrations will be accepted three ways, but we prefer you to use the on-line registration: 1) Mail-in, 2) Walk-in at Pagel, 3) On-line. Please use a separate registration for each player. Forms will not be mailed out this year.  Your child is not officially registered until we receive your payment.
