10U A - District 6 Champions

The Minnetonka 10UA hockey team  capped off an exciting and successful season by defeating a strong Edina 10UA Green team 6-3 for the District 6 championship this past Monday night. After a compiling a 15-1 regular season record and receiving the #1 seed entering the pool play format, Minnetonka earned a spot in the championship game by defeating both Edina 10UA teams by a 4-3 and 3-0 victories. 
 
Minnetonka opened the scoring in the championship game when Callie Isaacson netted a beautiful passing play from Taylor Berman and Meg Mann. Molly Ryan made it 2-0 before the end of the first period when she rifled a shot into the upper corner. During the second period, Edina got back into the game when Minnetonka plagued themselves with penalties. Edina scored on two power play opportunities in the period making it a 3-2 going into the final period. Greer Hardacre scored her second goal of the game giving Minnetonka some temporary breathing room but once again Edina made the game close only moments later. Cynthia Lyman and Jordy Helling's open net goal late in the game capped off an exciting championship game and season.
 
The Minnetonka 10UA team finished their season with a 32-5-1 overall record with some great team accomplishments:

Team members are: Meg Mann, Taylor Berman, Kenzie Berman, Cynthia Lyman, Greer Hardacre, Lauren Strothman, Casey Cronin, Madeline Kaltsas, Josie Linn, Jordyn Helling, Molly Ryan, Quinn McDonald, Mia Herbert, Callie Isaacson, and Grace Larson. The team is coached by Leah Johnson, Jamie Arola and Erin McNeill.
